Why mudpond ?
a) In a mud pond there is usually more soil and beneficial organisms. Less poo to soil ratio. And more water for dilution.
b) Mudpond contains many naturally occurring minerals, clays and provides many trace elements that koi needs in developing their potential.
c) During inside the mudpond, Koi also will develop their antibody and improve their immune system. Therefore, once the koi come out from the mudpond, it will be more resistance to disease and healthier.
d) Mudpond with a good quality of mountain water also can improves koi skin quality, much richer in colour (more vivid and shining), increase their appetite and usually can grow faster. So "Azukari" is ideal for people who want a bigger fish. Faster.”
e) There was so many natural food inside a mudpond. So the fish can "grow naturally" which I strongly believe is a good way to slowly develop a future fish to its potential. While in concrete pond, usually you have to increase your feeding rate since the fish is 100% depend on the food/pellet given by us. Some fish may grow faster inside a concrete pond due to the high feeding rate compare to the mudpond. But there is a side-effect if the fish grow too fast. And I believe this will also shortening the life span of the fish. "Fast-grow" inside a mudpond is not the same way as "fast-grow" inside a concrete pond.

Why do we offer such services ?
1. Maybe your pond is overstocking ? Usually hobbyist have to cull and sell off their beloved koi once overstocking. So right now, u have another option which is your can keep at our place and anytime u feels missing them, u can visit us and have a look at your fish. You also can bring back the fish to your home whenever your want.
2. Did you know that a rotation system between a concrete pond and a natural mountain water is good for your fish ? A rotation system means your can keep some of your kois in your concrete pond (Group A) while at the same time, your can send over some of your koi into our semi concrete mudpond (Group B). After few months, you can make a rotation which is now Group A kois will be sending to our place to be kept into our semi concrete mudpond while your can bring back Group B kois into your home pond. With this rotation system, every few months your kois will enjoying a natural fresh mountain water to develop while at the same time you still can enjoy your koi pond at home.
3. You also can share among your koi hobbyist friends to rent our conrete pond.
4. The quality of our mountain water in very good, fresh and cold. We already tested few koi varieties at our farm (Kohaku, Sanke. Showa, Shiro, Asagi, Ochiba and Shusui) and the result was very good and impressive. After few months in our pond, the fishes skin, beni, sumi, and netting tremendously improved.
Currently, base on size we only provides 2 type of Concrete Pond for rental.

Size > 50cm - 65cm = RM170 per month

3) Induce Spawning to prevent Dystocia(Egg Impaction)
Dystocia or egg binding is something you will experience from time to time with mature female koi. Seasonal changes and temperature play a huge part in egg development and maturity in kois. The ovaries need time to develop prior to spawning. If this does not happen, eggs will accumulate in the ovaries and will not mature. This process is continual so, even though the eggs are not mature enough to be spawned, more will be added as the season continues. This results in egg binding. A female that is egg impacted will be quite bloated, the bloating will be soft to the touch, becoming harder as the condition progresses.
Egg impaction can lead to bacterial infection and septicaemia (systemic (bodywide) illness with toxicity due to invasion of the bloodstream by virulent bacteria coming from a local seat of infection. Also known as blood poisoning. So far, many has lost their kois due to egg impaction or related complication.
Therefore, we also offer a spawning services in order to remove eggs from your beloved and priceless koi to prevent them from having an eggs impaction problem and also to improve back their body shape.

4) Pond Maintenance & Filteration System
All ponds, at some time or another, need a good clean. Decomposing debris lies on the bottom of the pond. This releases ammonia, nitrite and nitrates into the water. When exposed in high levels, this can be harmful to your fish, and in some cases can prove fatal. Dirty water spoils the look of the pond - your water should be clear so that you can see right to the bottom. A good, clean and healthy koi ponds can provide years and years of enjoyment for you and your family. Therefore, maintained your pond properly in order to make sure that your pond water is always in good quality.
5) Koi Medication, Quarantine & Treatment
MrKoi Farm also provide services in koi medication, quarantine and treatment for your kois. Your kois will be put into a separate quarantine tank. A necessary medication and antibiotic will be given base on the sympton that is shown by the koi. We will try our best to help your kois recover from any diseases and become healthy again.
